Overview
South Side Skills
South Side Skills is a premier development camp for players dedicated to their improvement.
Established in 2023, camp instructors are former high-level players passionate about teaching the game's how and why.
Unlike many hockey programs, South Side Skills camps will be limited to a smaller number of skaters, allowing instructors to focus on the individual development of the skater.
At South Side Skills, success is determined by the player's advancements in each skill set progression throughout the program.
South Side Skills and owner Kyle Peto are thrilled to announce they will offer their first small group development camp in summer 2024 at Dakotah! Ice Arena in Prior Lake. (see calendar for specific locations, as some dates will be at other arenas)
Kyle Peto
Born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Kyle discovered hockey a little later than most—finding his passion in grade 4 and spending two intensive years in power skating and skills before joining his first organized team in grade 6. That path built a rock-solid foundation and a lifelong focus on understanding the how and why behind every skill.
After NCAA Division I hockey at Minnesota State University and seven seasons of professional play across North America and Europe, Kyle founded South Side Skills to give back to the game. His coaching approach blends technical detail with a fun, positive environment where players can thrive and see measurable progress.
